Had the Student Leaders' Investiture today. Basically all the mentor representatives, CCA leaders, leaders in general and the Executive Committee of the school all go and accept prizes for their hard work.
They asked us a few questions about orientation. I gave some answers. Like changing the mass dance songs. Because they really aren't nice. And the reason why Faraday lost the house dance thingy was because the dance was "too sexy". Oh well.
I just don't understand why they had to replace so much of the hydraulics in the Dreamliner with electronics. If there's a failure things will be harder to fix.
And we might have another Seconds from Disaster episode, with all that cool-as-shit CGI.

Gosh, I don't know why, but the year 1s seem to like me. Probably because of the year 2s. One year 1 gave me a crash course in flying. It ended in a simulated fiery death. Oh well.
Writing a short story. When I have more important things to do.

Not sure if sore throat, or voice just got really deep.

So we went for the botanical gardens trip. And after that we went for ice cream. Bought a lot. :D Yummy! Whee yay happy LOL! And then we went to Pastamania for lunch :D. Om nom nom. We should do this more often.

Most CCAs had pizza today. Not astronomy though. We had to go to the science centre for a talk on dark matter and dark energy. Then we went to the observatory, but it was cloudy so we couldn't see a thing. I bought a 3D ruler at the stall over there. Some of my friends bought the astronaut ice cream. Apparently it's like milk powder. Bleh.

So the new members came along. There's a guy called Wui Heng (LOL it's like Wui Seng XD) and there's 4 more, but I forgot their names XD. And during the talk I was discussing stuff with the year 1 on my left. He's got a lot of Rubik's cubes (some aren't even cubes). Chong Wen would like them.

Year 1s are like. So. KAWAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD

And we were discussing about the Big Bang (not the Korean thingymajig and not the tv show) and whether or not the Universe we live in isn't just a hyper realistic computer simulation being run by someone with advanced technology. And why there isn't a Nobel Prize for Mathematics. And what would happen if someone proved that 1+1=3.

See? You learn a lot of things in Astronomy.

Had polymer chemistry today. Quite interesting.
I just don't understand why anyone would come up with these random polymers and ask us to name them. I bet they don't even exist. Nevermind. By the time this module is over I will ace my core chemistry module.
WHY DOES EVERYONE WANT MY FINGER PUPPETS SO BAD JUST GO TO IKEA AND BUY THEM THEY'RE CHEAP ONLY $2 EACH RAWR.
Finished my reading portfolio. Yay. Some people only started doing theirs just now, if my Facebook feed is to be believed.
WHY DOES 307 HAVE ALL THE SOFT DRINKS I SWEAR I WILL BOOBY TRAP THEIR SOFT DRINKS SO THAT THEY EXPLODE WHEN OPENED RAWR!
Need to hang up some of Chong Wen's origami stuff. They fell off again. They always fall off. Grrr.

Guess what? JOVAN'S FINALLY ON FACEBOOK OMFG HE FINALLY SUCCUMBED TO PEER PRESSURE LOL. No seriously. He just added me as his friend. I know it's Jovan because his profile picture is that of a fish. And he likes fishes.
Year 1 said I was a cute senior. Ok... I think she has a British acc- No, just no. Screw my brain.
So 307 had an interesting party. Not sure why. But they had Coke. Not the thingy used in the production of iron. The drink. I don't know why they were trying to create big messes by shaking the cans.
It was rather messy. And they had cake too. Although one guy vomited it out. WHY?! WHO THE HELL CAN'T EAT CAKE IT'S SO DELICIOUS!
Need to finish my english homework and stop typing this.

Sunday. Finished chinese composition. Whew.
Doing english right now. And listening to the BBC.

I forgot to mention. Our class isn't 303 anymore. We're officially unofficially the Llama Kingdom. Enter at your own risk. Chong Wen's spiky balls may fall on you any time.
A lot of homework I'm not actually doing. I have a vague idea what I'm going to write for chinese composition, which is good. Math tutorial is being a bit hard. And I really need to buy some coffee satchets. You know, the ones Starbucks sells? The ones which are cheap only because you are required to make the coffee? I'm not sure if you know what I mean. Nevermind.
Hmmm. If you shoot portals on either side of you, stick your right hand out so that it comes out of the portal on your left, your left hand grabs your right hand, and then I turn to my left, I would only see the back of my head right?
This is so unproductive.

So we finally finished decorating our class yesterday, and it looks rather neat. Footprints on the corridor and stuff like that. In the afternoon there was quite a lot of people in our class and singing and doing random stuff.
I did try singing, but I think I might not be good at it. Just saying.
Will be going to the science centre next Friday for an astro thingy talk lecture whatever it is. About dark matter. Or energy. I don't know.
The PE teacher makes Mr. Selva look like a sunflower in comparison. She's like, quoting one of my classmates, "I shall torture you all and compliment you so that you don't hate me completely."
Still doing my english homwork. Wonder how many year 1s joined astro. And if any of them are "normal". Not that anyone in this school is, anyway.
I'm not normal either, I'm a bit unhinged. If your definition of unhinged is giggling to yourself and talking to yourself when noone's looking. And making jokes that only you understand. And drinking a lot of coffee.

Astronomy is being shifted to 4-6 pm. Well, this is annoying, to say the least.
I mean, seriously, why? Whoever's suggesting this had better have a good reason, or else...
No assembly today. Whee. Doing english reading portfolio right now. Not that hard to do, but tedious.
Brought some chewing gum to school today. Don't tell anyone. Chewing gum's not even allowed in school. During chinese lesson the teacher didn't come today so quite a lot of people were doing other stuff besides chinese. Tian Qi kept on saying random sexually explicit stuff. I was rather annoyed. And couldn't stop laughing. Which was more annoying. I wonder if Javier's going to get nightmares tonight.
Got my graphing calculator last Thursday. You may have seen 9gag posts where you can play Pokemon on them. It is true, but I'll have to downgrade the operating system and I don't want to do that. But it's good. It can graph and do all kinds of calculations. And it's in colour. Woots.

During mentoring today we decorated the classroom. Not really actually. We just made the decorations. We haven't put them up yet.

CCA fair

First week of school is over. Had a CCA fair today for all the new students (they get to learn more about the CCAs).

Had PE today. Teacher made us do a lot of strenuous stuff. My abs cramped. And I grew a cm taller over the holidays. Still 44 kg though.

CCA fair was alright. The new student's didn't come out of the hall until 5.10 pm, so there was a lot of time to prepare. Gave out sweets. Astronomy is not desperate for membership, so we didn't hand out brochures. All the other CCAs were on the 4th floor yelling out join their CCAs lol. I hope some new people join Astro.  Would be rather nice.

Monday went quite nicely. Friend had a birthday. Gave presents. Whee. (Needs more coffee.)
Playing Doctor Who game. Saving the world/universe/timestream is so fun. :D
Not much homework today. Chemistry is a little complicated, what with organic compounds but physics is looking a lot like last last year's. And in biology we get to work with plants. :D (Not sure why. I always thought plants were boring. Except for those that ate insects. Wonder if we get to handle those?)

1 week into 2013. Hope it's been good for all of your reading this. If not, you still have ~51 weeks to rectify the situation.
Need to write chinese sui bi. Urgh.
Year 1 on the schoolbus beat me at chopsticks. Not surprising. I suck at that game. :D Year 1s are so fun loving. And nice. :D And cute :D (Oh god stop it you idiot.)

FUZZY PINK LLAMAS!

A lot of things happened today.
1. Tagball before the start of external activities. I sort of forgot the reason behind it, but it probably wasn't a good one.

2. External activities. We went to U-town and did some tasks. Then they asked us to come up with a class cheer. We didn't have one, so we made one. Which is where the fuzzy pink llamas come in. Our class cheer is kind of silly, and we went around singing it, until the whole level heard it.

5. Ok, I'll stop it with the pink llamas already. Anyway, after the external activities and all that, we walked back to school, ate lunch, and then we were told what to bring tomorrow. And then we had a house meeting and were asked to design costumes for the year 1s and 2s. I hope they like them.

Orientation was alright. CW takes the same schoolbus as I do now. Interesting. I knew he lived in Woodlands, but I thought his parents ferried him. Oh well. Year 1s are year 2s now. And there are new year 1s in their place. They look like a fine bunch. My cousin's had his first day of secondary school. Although I can't quite picture him in NUSH uniform. (He's in Hwa Chong.)
206 has Mrs Fernandez (biology teacher) as their mentor. I'm quite glad. Mrs Fernandez will make a good mentor. And 206 should be a fine class. Not to mention she's the best biology teacher we've had. And she said to 206 that they don't want to see her mad. Not that we did. (Which is probably a good thing.)
We have a new level head. Orientation started with the principal's address, then there was this short video for the newcomers explaining the school and what to do. I was rather pissed with the "tuck out your polo shirt" bit. WILL EVERYONE STOP TELLING ME TO TUCK OUT?! IT"S GETTING ON MY NERVES!

So I'm in 303. Along with quite a few 204 people. There is a new guy in our class, he's from China. Name's Shuqi. Seems like a nice guy. Tianqi and Melvin are in our class too. Whee. This will be fun. Mentor asked us to share our saddest and happiest moments of 2012, and our New Year's Resolution.

Then we had the first house meeting of the year, then we started learning the mass dance. It's alright actually.
