Bored (sort of). Dad finally bought XCom EU at a cheap price. About $20. It's fun, and the graphics are good. School holidays will be over soon (3 days ERMAGHERD) and then we'll have orientation (crappy dance song, lousy activities) and then school really begins. Wonder what it'll be like in year 3. I hope it's not too difficult. Bought the chemistry and biology textbooks, read them.
Relatives came over on a few occasions, mostly played games, also had an early Christmas dinner with them. I should be preparing to go back to school, but I'm not sure what to wear for orientation. That did not make sense at all. Most of the people in 303 (my new class) are from 204. And the mentor is my chinese teacher. That's just swell. And I went to IKEA and got myself 2 finger puppets. A snake and a dragon. They're cute. And then a long time before that I went to Malaysia and got myself a hat. I think it's a Trilby. My aunt says I look good with it. Not sure if I should wear it to orientation though. An d I went to Indonesia a long time after that but before Christmas, the volcanoes were nice, but it rained all the time which sucked, and then we went back to Singapore. And the end of the world didn't happen. Oh well. Happy New Year in advance. Hope you have a great 2013.

Had this extremely horrible dream where I was in a combination of my primary school and secondary school. And then this girl comes out of nowhere and then sends a message, which I look at, and it says "His surface looks ok." Which probably meant my face. The worst part is that I recognise that girl. Went to Gardens by the Bay yesterday. (It rhymes o.o) Saw a rat in the flower dome. The flower dome is big. And cold. And had a lot of flowers. And cacti. And there was a mouse. And every child in a 10 metre radius was crowding around it and taking pictures. :P
(Flower dome was so nice. :D Lot's of flowers and I kept blowing in them to see if I could pollinate them.)

Now that school is almost ending I'm not quite sure what to do during the holidays.
Truth to be told, I am writing a short story  but I just don't know how to write it nicely. Or maybe I'm just over thinking. Meh. Maybe I'll post the beginning. And then someone is going to say that it's boring. And the cheesiness of it might kill someone.

Sorry for not posting for an extremely extended period of time. Was busy with the exams (yeah right) and was busy enjoying myself after they ended. I guess I did really ok for my exams.

Friend is like, posting random photos of herself on Facebook. Fine, I guess. (Not as if I don't take pictures of myself while on Facebook. Actually I don't but that's due to a leck of cameras and a slight apprehension of posting pictures of myself on Facebook.) I seem to pay more attention to the keyboard when I'm typing. Then and again, this is white, so I can't see a thing.

No CCA today, and we had prize presentation.:D I'm awesome aren't I? So anyway a bit of the trophy broke off when I got back to class. :P clumsy me.
Ehehehe Wai Boon you big fat potato flavoured marshmallow, can't find any difference between me and Jasmine, say I have about as little sanity as she does. And Pei Hui only let me use her charger for like, 3 minutes, so at the end my phone had 3% more battery.

Kaoru came today. Said he'd stopped coughing, then he had to hand up his english file. Have you seen Benjamin's group's IH project video? It's awesome. Le Night of Le Living Wira. Although most of the videos are less than 6 minutes long. And Chong Wen was playing Amorphous Plus.
Coffee on my jacket. Now it smells like coffee :D I just love my jacket.
And it rained a lot today. The monsoon season is apparently early. There were massive puddles (or should I say pools) of water everywhere. I wish there were some books I really like to borrow. Except that I can't listen to World Book Club, so there are no recommendations.
Javier is like, the most  friendiest friend I ever had. He's like a friend. Only better, but not exactly a best friend. I hve no idea what I'm saying. And then he's going to read this and then tomorrow he'll be like, "I thought we were friends!" then I'l say , "Shut up Javier, or I'll change this blog address so you will never find it." and then he'll be like, "But I can just google it!" and then I'll be like, "Screw you Javier, screw you."

P.E today again. And Kaoru hit another home run. When it's Kaoru's turn to bat everyone runs away so that they can catch the ball when it lands somewhere in the hostel. And Yueze hit the ball so that it was like 5 centimetres above the ground, and didn't touch it at all. And Javier was getting all the blame when the fielders failed to catch the ball. LOL.
See la Kaoru why you never listen to Keene? Still drink the cold water and now you have fever? Then tomorrow not coming to school right?
We have to hand up the english and physics files tomorrow. I think they're alright. Not so sure about the english file, because it's a bit thin. But I guess it's because we really didn't do much for the lessons, because of drama. No Da Vinci tomorrow again. Lot's of free time in which to do nothing. Hooray.

Last astronomy session for the semester. Somehow we ended up discussing how thermonuclear bombs work, and why the Europeans beat the Chinese because the chinese used gunpowder to impress people and the europeans used gunpowder to kill people. See the difference? There won't be any more astronomy sessions so I can now go home early. We presented the biology poster, and Keene got some of his concepts wrong.
Why did Darryl even have to ask that question? The answer was in the notes, he could have checked them.
Had a practical test on Friday for chemistry. I identified the compound as Lead Chloride.
Ahahahaha Javier dumb as f***, don't even know how to do qualitative analysis. IH script is extremely boring. ERMAGHERD WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!
Skyfall is coming out soon. I like the theme song. It has the Bond theme in it. And some people were playing this railway game on Darryl's computer, and they were all shouting "NO PUT THAT RAIL THERE!" "NONONONO YOU IDIOT THE TRAIN'S SUPPOSED TO GO THERE!" and stuff like that.
Chong Wen is growing chilies. I will be getting some from him on Monday. I wonder how spicy they are.

Wednesday, no Da Vinci, so we had quite some free time, in which I did nothing but buy some coffee, watch other people play Touhou and watch Keene and Kaoru play Pokemon. And it rained just now, and June left Singapore yesterday.
I hope Keene does the bio mindmap. Actually, I completely forgot who was supposed to be doing it today. And I just realised a lot of people are obsessed with Taylor Swift. She seems to be singing more about break ups now.
And I'm going on the stage next Friday. Prize presentation. :D Even if it is a bit late.
I like looking out of the train when there's heavy rain. o.o it rhymes. It makes the picture clearer. Something to do with what happens when you put immersion oil and the microscope thingy.

So we did the biology poster after the math test. The math test was easy, I guess. I managed to find the general formula. And then in between I played Sanatorium. Ah s***, going to need someone to accompany me to the toilet tonight. It's just shocking when Slenderman suddenly appears in front of you. We have the IH characters ready.
Ahahahahahaha Kaoru is going to get nightmares tonight.
So I was listening to the radio, and there is apparently a Museum of Broken Relationships in Zagreb. Interesting. It's like this place where you can donate objects that used to signify your relationship, but now that it's gone, you just  well, don't know what to do with it, it reminds you of the hurt when you break up, so I guess you just donate it? I don't know, really. In fact, I'm not sure why I'm even typing this.

Let's see. PE just ended. And Javier had an MC so he didn't have to join us. That bastard. PE was so boring without him on my group. Kaoru hit another home run. He always does. In fact, whichever team Kaoru is on, they will win. And then Celien was like saying, "Oh look! Keenes everywhere!" The main reason is because Keene looks like a mushroom, and the whole field is full of them.

So tomorrow's Monday again. I guess that's alright. So I'm still researching on the IH stuff (well, I would be if I wasn't typing this) and I guess we should try to finish it by Tuesday. Although that might be difficult seeing as we have to videotape us moving pieces of paper around.
I like to think I have this huge collection of random earworms, and occasionally I pretend to be a DJ and mix them all up. The results are horrible.
So some of my friends on Facebook will be having their end of year exams soon. I wish them all the best.
I suppose you must find my blog slightly boring. After all, there isn't much of that "emoing" stuff that you see on some blogs. And I hardly upload any pictures. Mostly because I never use my camera. Oh well, I'll try to find stuff that'll interest you, but there really isn't much. You can now apply what your IH teacher has taught you and infer that, from my blog, I have not much of a social life. Probably should make some more friends, or maybe I just somehow manage to remain alone. And thanks to Google, you now know that it's Niel Bohr's 127th birthday.

We didn't have astronomy today. Yay! So today during biology lesson we had this ICBL thingy (did I get it right?), so we had a case, which was that a woman was told she was pregnant and she wanted an abortion. So we had to write down what we knew about the case and what we needed to know. And then we had this video about how an abortion was carried out. It was slightly disturbing, especially when they showed the pictures of the aborted babies at random intervals. I haven't really given much thought to the subject of abortion, and I probably won't. I suppose it depends on the woman's definition of baby, and whether or not it's alive.
Someone gave me an unexpected smile today. Thanks. I really wasn't expecting it. Or maybe the smile was directed at someone else.
And we had that CSI thingy for chemistry. It was alright I guess. Given the fact that everyone did their parts. I like potassium permanganate. It's such a nice purple colour. And I managed to get a capillary tube. It's so tiny. I just wonder where the chemistry department got the cocaine and heroin for the experiments. Interesting.
AND MARIA DUENAS HAS A NEW BOOK OMG IT'S GOING TO BE SO AWESOME EVEN THOUGH I CAN'T READ SPANISH THE TIME IN BETWEEN IS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I'VE EVER READ SO I'M HOPING HER NEW BOOK WILL BE TOO! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
And finally,  Bad Piggies is so fun. You have to build stuff that will help the pigs get to the map pieces. I managed to build a massive flying machine with balloons, propellers, rockets, wheels and a while bunch of other stuff. And it blew it up, and the poor pigs went flying everywhere. (Sorry PiggyChubby :P) Guess I'm not that much of an engineer.
And the CPS teacher just sent me one scary email. Quoting from it, it says, "A failure in a Da Vinci module will be indelibly recorded on your academic transcript and hound you for the rest of your professional life. Have a fruitful weekend." Now, if that isn't scary you probably have a Slenderman plushie that you hug and go to sleep with every night.

We have CSI tomorrow. I don't like it. Noone does, actually. I think Matthew's going to freeload, Benjamin's just going to say random crap, and me and Keene could possibly end up doing all the work. And Wira's probably going to blow up the whole lab. He nearly did last time. It was a good thing someone noticed he'd left the gas on or he'd be badly burnt.

And we have to hand up our Biology mindmaps tomorrow. I think mine's ok.
I seem to have forgotten how to write IH essays. Oh dear. I'd better remember, or I'm screwed. Also need to bring back my Chemistry and math files. Or I'm screwed again.
Kaoru hasn't come for the past 2 days. And at least we had a big mindmap making session in the library on Tuesday. Largest class outing ever. 0.5 more than half the class (You do the math) was there. Which says a lot about how badly our class does in the social department. We probably give the teachers nightmares.
The teacher says I shouldn't mumble so much. It distracts people who are presenting. I'm not sure if I can help it. Just seems like I've been talking/thinking to myself for so long, I probably could stay alone for quite a while. Only if reading a book. My imagination keeps me occupied.

Kaoru's messaging me about the biology mindmap. Says he''ll finish it tomorrow morning. Before biology. Which reminds me, I haven't finished my review worksheet. Damn. Better do it now.

We had 5 straight hours of break today, because both the Da Vinci and Physics teachers didn't come. It was rather neat. (Even if I spent most of it playing computer games, and then walking around the entire school after the battery ran out.) But we still have to work with the IH project. I think I'm finished with the storyboard (a bunch of random drawings), but we still have a lot to do. Like recording a video.
Oh, and I found this year 1's blog.
Thursday tomorrow. Had English formative today. No, I'm not sure how they're related either. I like Pokemon. I think I've said that already. I guess the main reason is that the Pokemon are cute. Until they evolve.
My friends get the oddest dreams sometimes. I won't tell anyone. You have my word.
Like I said, now that June's gone Celine doesn't have anyone to work with, so she's in my group. Along with the only other girl in the class. I guess that's alright. I'm not complaining, because they're all good people. And they do their share of the work. And they're kind of fun, in a weird sort of way. Like putting white paint on Javier's jacket. No, Celine, you are not doing the same to mine. But I really do wish we hadn't started year 1 with a gender ratio of 19 boys to 4 girls. Now it's 19 boys to 2 girls.

Finished the mindmap. Took a while. And we have this retarded IH project that involves finger puppets, a storyboard and ASEAN.
And since June left, I'm working with Pei Hui and Celine. That's alright, I guess. Although I wish we could work in groups of 4 ins
So there's nothing much going on in school. I haven't posted lately. During PE we had this retarded variant of baseball, which was just baseball with foam balls and foam bats. But Kaoru hit an amazing home run. And Darryl was like, knocking over the post that the ball was on. I actually think the ball stayed there for a few milliseconds before realising it had to fall down.
Did the mindmap with Kaoru in the library. For some reason, he doesn't like Lecture 10. He finds it disgusting.
English is getting boring.

Astronomy was ok.
We had this interesting biology practical today. The teacher was teaching us about sexually transmitted illnesses and to show us how they spread, she gave everyone a tube full of solution that was supposed to be "bodily fluids". Then we had to mix the "bodily fluids" with 4 other people, and then see who had gotten the illness. Turns out Favian was the infected one.

So Vettel has won! Good for him! As usual, we have the safety cars, people flying, and a whole bunch of thingymajigs used to be parts of cars flying around also.
Hamilton screwed up his gearbox. Unlucky day for him, I guess.
So I'm playing Pokemon again. Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Darkness. And then they said my aura was an aqua blue... and gave me a Torchic. Well, that was interesting.
But seriously, Torchic and Piplup look so CUTE together OMG SO CUTE SO CUTE SO CUTE AHAHAHAHAHAHA I THINK I"M PLAYING TOO MUCH POKEMON.
I'm not sure when we have to finish the post production essay. I don't have much to write about though. My mom said that I was saying something about green marshmallows when I woke up this morning. Green marshmallows. Wow. My dreams are f***ed up.

And it's mostly 9gag stuff on my Facebook newsfeed. And the occasional potato. By June. What, thought it was someone else?
And in other news, MY BIRTHDAY''S THE NEXT TUESDAY YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY I'M GOING TO BE 14 SOON. On second thoughts, that doesn't seem like a good thing at all.

And about that Muslim Rage thingy that's giving almost everyone in the White House headaches. I do think the people protesting have a point, but they shouldn't blame the US for a video criticising their God just because that video was made in the USA. They should just be angry at the person who made the video, and not the country as a whole. Not everyone in the USA has the same views as those in the video. I say calm down, and let's forgive. Although killing the ambassador to Libya was a very bad thing to do. He was a good person.

The big day. It actually went quite well. The slides worked, the audio worked, we didn't stall for too long, everyone knew what to do and I guess we'll pass.
I'd say that our performance type was minimalist. We didn't use any makeup at all, which seemed to be a good thing in hindsight, as according to what I heard most people had to change their makeup and then the next scene began. Chong Wen did really well. He played the audio and the slides together. Most of the other groups seemed to have problems. "If you bring a Mac for a presentation, you're going to have a bad time." Yueze did start a bit too early in one of the scenes, but we handled it well enough. Even if Jovan had to shoot at the air.
At least Benjamin had a dress, which made it easier to see who was Emily and who was Victoria. Favian did a good job too. In fact, Benjamin scared the s*** out of a bunch of people who thought he was a girl.
Estimated marks: Worst case scenario 65-90, best case scenario 91-110

Tomorrow is our graded assessment. Oh dear.
Benjamin is not taking kindly to being forced to cross-dress. Nobody is. Why did one group get all the girls in the class? That's unfair. And we don't have a wig, so we came up with an interesting explanation for that. The sound files are massive, the slides are low resolution, the props are tiny and the costumes are the only thing that we probably have in excess.
In other news, my brain went gpwjifoeiwjfipewjfz and made me take the wrong bus. Then I had to walk all the way home. I have no idea why, but the bus looked so much like the one I usually take that I was fooled. Probably need more coffee. Am running out of coffee.
Am I really that bad a director? I know Benjamin and Favian fool around all the time. I can't really do much about that.

We had pizza today. I knew it was a good idea to skip dinner! But this will be the last time the year 6s will be having CCA. After this, they'll have to study for their exams. And after that, they'll graduate. Good luck.
Someone did a good job of redecorating the notice board. They covered the damn thing with chinese newspapers. And the notice board is huge. Apparently according to Jovan; June, Nicholas, Benjamin, Celine, Favian, Javier and Chong Wen were involved. At least that's what Jovan says. He could be wrong. I don't know. Oh well. I hope they clean it up, or every single teacher that comes into our class is probably going to drop dead immediately. Although you have to admire them for their creativity. And saying, "Screw what the teachers think."

I did ok for my chemistry test. I did screw up at the observation bit, because I wrote down chlorine gas and aluminum metal. Darn. Medical history presentation was alright.

I got some new colour pens! And they're nice! :D

So apparently the president was in our school today. Didn't see him. Although I would have preferred the Royal Couple. In fact, I'd probably celebrate if Kate was really pregnant. :P
And the bio mindmap is taking quite a while. But at least the pens are fine enough to write the tiny words.
So the IH presentation went well. And I have to collect all my members' rehearsal logs. Some more last minute stuff. And after IH the math teacher didn't come for 1/2 hours, so the class was pretty noisy and stuff was happening. Such as a lot of people yelling, "Ermagherd, perterters!" I have no idea how that came about, but now it's catching on.

And our class is getting rather dirty. If the english teacher came in he'd probably get a heart attack. You really need to see it to get a sense of how bad it is.

E learning was yesterday. Spent most of the time on Facebook, as expected.
I'm not sure. What do you want to see on this blog anyway? And we had student council thingy. Quite a lot of people are voting for that Julian guy. I really need to find some colour pens for my mind map. But they're rather expensive. And we have to present on the Singapore budget tomorrow for IH. And the humanities and arts and computer sciences registration. I think I'll take geography as my first choice, and economics second.

First day of the last term of the last semester of this year. Which means the exams are coming. Had a House Meeting today. Was rather short, but it seems that the house will be holding a barbeque next Friday for those who signed up. I did. Free dinner, and I have astronomy, so I don't have to go outside of school.

We have E-learning tomorrow. I guess it'll be like the ones before, which means spending a lot of time on Facebook and playing games during recess and lunch. The teachers are starting to give us revision worksheets. And I can't find my year 1 chemistry notes. Bother. And we had an english summative today. I wrote about this big dog in the hospital. And how a guy beat it up using his broken arm, which was in a cast.
My imagination amazes even me at times.
So I guess that's about it.

So here's the first part of my story.

Dragons and jetpacks

A SHORT STORY BY Khoo Wui Seng, M12206

Chapter 1

There was once a world called Asjrib. Asjrib was a lot like Earth, with mountains, deserts, seas, rainforests and weather systems. It had an abundance of rare “Earth” metals (since we’re not talking about Earth anymore), and a lot of valuable metals and minerals, being right in the middle of a star rich nebula where massive supernovae had occurred billions of years ago. The supernovae had pushed many elements together, orbiting around a star. Eventually the elements formed into a rocky ball that eventually became Asjrib. Asjrib had two natural satellites, in a solar system that consisted of twenty planets.

Ajrib was a peaceful world, far removed from the times when wars broke out almost every ten years, and weapons of such destructive capability had been developed that not many leaders chose to use them. That had been a long time ago. Not many people remembered those times, and those that did tried their best to forget them.

After the wars, the people had come together. They promised not to ever fight again, and to solve their issues peacefully. Advances in technology occurred that greatly improved the people’s lives. Now, robots helped people with their daily chores, and people rarely went to offices to work, as they could work from the comfort of their high rise apartments. Electric cars plied the highways, and massive airships ferried passengers and goods across the world. Also, almost everyone had a jetpack. The jetpack was basically two extremely small jet engines attached together, and they ran on an extremely volatile fuel, which allowed them to run for at least 10 hours at a time, before being refuelled. Of course, dropping it was not a good idea.

Chapter 2

Now, there was this boy by the name of Quincy McFlannigan, who lived in the Aplewican mountain range with his family of 2 sisters and their parents. Phil lived in a tiny village, on the side of a mountain. It was rather accessible, and most people got there by the cable car or the train. Quincy had a jetpack, which he would often use for quick trips to school or to explore the caves around the mountains.

One day, Quincy went exploring as usual. He took his jetpack out, and started it up. He flew around the mountains, looking for any caves that he hadn’t spotted before. Then he realised that the sky was getting darker. Apparently a snowstorm was brewing. He thought he had better get back to his house before he got caught in it, and froze to death. He quickly set a course for home, but the storm was faster. Soon he was trying to avoid the majority of hail that was fast approaching. Seeing no other option, he quickly landed near the mouth of a cave, and went in.

Chapter 3

Inside the cave, it was rather dark. Quincy used the torchlight in the safety kit to light up the place. It went into the mountain for quite a distance. Quincy decided to stay at the mouth. Outside, the snowstorm had turned into a blizzard. His parents must be worried, he thought. But in this weather, there wasn’t much that they could do, other than pray that he was safe.

Inside the cave, he found plenty of wood. He wasn’t sure how they had gotten in, but he was glad that they could be burned and provide heat. Underneath the pile of wood, he found a gun, made of brass. It had s series of interlocking gears, a key that could be wound up, and a knob that could be turned so that it pointed towards any of 3 settings, “Stun”, “Pierce” and “Vaporize”. There was also an odd looking wand, with a button on it. Quincy wasn’t quite sure how to use any sort of weapon, so he put it aside for the moment and started thinking about how long the blizzard would last.

There had been several major blizzards since his family had moved here. They often lasted for days. He could only hope that the food in the emergency kit lasted long enough for someone to reach him.

Chapter 4

Just then, a distant rumbling came from inside the cave. Quincy was startled, turned around, and looked. Nothing there. Then heavy footfalls, and the sound of pebbles tumbling down a steep slope. The “clink, clink” of something that was now climbing up, towards him.

What came out was something that looked nothing like a dragon, to say the least. It closely resembled a massive tuatara (if you don’t know what that is, look it up), but instead of skin, it had a moving, almost chainmail like texture, composed of individual pieces of something that could have been cobalt, only darker. Two big, green eyes stared at Quincy. Then a huge, gaping mouth, full of neatly arranged rows of teeth, opened up, and it appeared that the inside of the dragon was on fire, with a green flame that hissed and threw off sparks even better than Quincy’s own fireworks.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!” Quincy screamed. There was no other way to describe it.

The dragon merely blinked, and looked at Quincy in interest. A low rumbling came out. The dragon moved closer to Quincy. It took a sniff at him, seeing if he was food. Then it decided that he was not.

Chapter 5

Then something happened. A voice that sounded remarkably like that of a young girl’s popped up in his head and said “A human! Cool! I’ve never seen one of them before! Mom used to say that they were tiny. But you, you’re so cute!”

Quincy wasn’t sure how to reply.

“Aww…You don’t need to. Gosh, what’s it like outside? I’ve never been there before!”

“Erm…Rather cold, snows all the time, lots of people?” Quincy said that out loud, since he hadn’t mastered telepathy yet.

“That sounds cool! What’s snow?”

“That white thing that’s falling outside.”

“Cool! Can we go outside now?”

“No, because right now the outside is incredibly cold, so if you go out now you’ll probably freeze.”

“Oh. Ok.”

The dragon walked over to where Quincy was, and lay down, tucking its legs underneath its body.

“Is there going to be enough time for me to take a nap?”

“I guess so.”

An enormous rumbling seemed to fill the air. Quincy almost thought there had been an avalanche, but it was just the dragon snoring.

RRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…RRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrr…Eventually the dragon’s snoring made Quincy sleepy. He thought he should take a short nap too, since there wasn’t much he could do in a blizzard. And anyway, the sides of the dragon were warm.

Chapter 6

Quincy woke up to see that the blizzard was thinning out. He had probably slept longer than usual, helped by the fact that the dragon’s body was warm and made for a comforting nap.

“Can we go out now?”

“Not yet. We still have to wait until—Eep! That was scary. Sounded like I was hearing echoes of myself.”

”Yay! You can finally talk with me!”

“Still feels kinda funny.”

“Don’t worry, I’m sure it’ll pass. So, what’s your name?”

“Quincy. Quincy McFlannigan.”

“Hey, that sounds kind of cute!”

Quincy felt something pressing against his head, even though there was nothing there.

“Oh, just me. Could you let me in?”

“How am I supposed to do that?”

“I’m not sure. Mom didn’t really teach me. Just relax, okay?”

Quincy relaxed. And suddenly he felt that there was something inside his head, walking around it.

“Ooh...That’s so cool! There’s this, and that, and—“

“Ow!”

There was a sharp pain in his head, and the taste of his mum’s roasted chicken.

“Oops! Sorry. Didn’t mean to do that. (But it looked kinda tasty.)”

“That was my mum’s roast chicken.”

“Now, that sounds tasty. What’s a chicken?”

Some more walking about.

“Oh...That. Seems kinda weird why you can’t just eat it. It grows from an egg?! Hey! That’s just like me! Well, at least mum said I came from an egg. I don’t remember much about my birth.”

“Me neither.”

“So...Can we go out now?”

Quincy looked outside. The blizzard had stopped.

“I suppose so. You want to come over to my house? I’m sure my sisters will be excited to meet you.”

“Yay! What’s a sister?”

This continued all the way to Quincy’s house. It was relatively easy going, with Quincy showing the way with his jetpack and melting any snow that got in her way.

Chapter 7

Quincy’s family reacted extremely well to the inclusion of a fire-breathing dragon in their household. “She can have her room in the garage.” His mum said. “Aww...But mum, can’t she sleep with us?” Quincy’s sisters pleaded. “No! The floor’s probably going to collapse if we let her sleep with you.”

And so the matter was settled. For something her size she ate rather less than expected, which led to Quincy’s parents heaving huge sighs of relief. She also gave the sisters piggyback rides, which they loved. It was rather difficult to get them off.

Quincy also set about the difficult task of making his dragon a set of jetpacks that she could wear on her feet so that she could fly about. Getting her weight wasn’t easy (she broke most of the industrial scales he used) but eventually he got the measurements. It was also during the building process that he found out one of the more important bit of information about her.

“So, do you have a name?”

“My mum used to call me darling. Is that good enough?”

“No, that won’t do. You have any ideas for names?”

“Well, how about Zanina?”

“Ooh! That sounds neat! Could you call me Zanina from now on?”

“Sure, Zanina.”

Finished my level C. Yay! Drawing a mindmap is incredibly difficult. But I managed to finish my story! :D I'll probably show it to my friends after the school holidays.

Playing Minecraft on the Xbox. Quite fun, even though it is an older version. Hope an update comes out soon.

So this friend of mine asked him to drink 1.5 litres of salt water for an experiment. And I agreed.
And now whenever I think of salt...urgh. Never going to do that again.
So I'm still doing my english, and writing a story for Da Vinci. Can't quite tell you all about it though, because I haven't really planned it out.

Teachers' Day Celebration was nice. Although having snacks in the morning isn't. They're burning incense below. Quite a strong smell. We had a game where you had to guess the teacher from a set of photos, and then we went to Jovan's house for the IH project. Basically what we have to do is to interview a parent and ask them to give you opinions about the budget. Went quite well. I rather like Jovan's house. It's big. And then after that I played chess with Zhen Jie. He said that I took forever to make my move. Most people do that. And then I ended up almost winning. Almost because I had to go home.
I really have no idea what to write for the short story. But it'll have something to do with dragons.

Sports Day tomorrow. Its supposed to build house spirit, etc. As if that's going to work. So we tried rehearsing today, and managed to do the dance moves, and now I'm editing the sound files for or scene.
Had sexual education today, which was rather entertaining as some people just came up with the most retarded suggestions on why people want to watch pornography.
And we have to write another story for Da Vinci again. Sigh. I'm running out of ideas. Aliens are getting too boring.
How about going to Europa, meeting some aliens, and coming back?
So I guess sports day will go well enough, even though I think the Olympic Cauldron thingy is retarded. The Olympics are over. Time for the Paralympics! Woots! Can't wait to see Pistorius! And the opening ceremony! (Damn. I think I missed it.)

Tomorrow is the last rehearsal. The slides are ready, the props and costumes are ready, now all we need is to stop fooling around.

Got a nice bookmark yesterday. It's orange, and has a bird on it. It looks so cool. Even if I'm not reading any book for the time being.

Matthew was popping every single knuckle that I had during chemistry lesson. My fingers felt weird afterwards. And then we had a chemistry test, which I thought was rather easy. Biology lesson went well. And then we had the medical history test, which was easy too. But the IOAA selection test was silly. Actually my answers were silly. I only actually answered one question. The others were in bits and pieces.

Teachers' Day is coming soon. Not sure f I'm going to get a present. Oh well. And then during astronomy we discussed stuff in general about the universe. And then after astronomy the back gate was locked, so Zhen Jie climbed over it and I crawled under it. The year 1s following us couldn't do any of the above, because they were... um... rather large horizontally. But just as I crawled under the damn thing a bunch of boarders appeared and let everyone out. I guess patience is a virtue.

Not much happened today.
I forgot to bring my physics file. I'd better bring it tomorrow, or the physics teacher is going to kill me. And we have a chemistry and medical history test tomorrow too.Better start revising. And stop typing this. Not as if that's going to happen any time soon.
So apparently one of my friends had a privacy issue with their blog, so it got locked. Just goes to show, if you have a blog, don't leave it sitting around for someone else to show to the world. Even if that us the whole point of your blog.
And today we are going to discuss sharks. I always found them cute. Especially the whale shark. It's like, "I AM THE KAORU SHIGENO OF THE SEA. OM NOM NOM." And then it swallows a lot of plankton. SO thresher sharks have a very long tail. I find that rather nice looking. Especially when they make the awesomest b**** slaps to passing fish. And the great white shark eats seals. Have you seen them eat a seal before? It's like, there's this seal swimming, then it gets swallowed up by a big mouth. The end. I don't feel sorry for the seal.
And tomorrow is going to be another long day, as usual. I think I might change the look of my blog a bit. Getting rather boring.

3rd rehearsal today. Also had the health screening. Was rather straightforward, though I couldn't understand why the nurse said I had a deep voice. She's never seen me hyper, I guess. And the fire alarm went off several times. False alarms. They really ought to make the smoke detectors higher up so that whatever smoke that results from chemistry experiments doesn't send all of us into a frenzy.
I'm starting to think that I'm micro managing my group too much. Oh well.
This is going to be rather short because I still have some homework to do. We have the costumes and props worked out. Just need to time the rehearsal.

Macaroons are so TASTEH!!! I like Moroccan mint the most. OM NOM NOM.

Went to MBS. No, I didn't gamble. Security guard didn't let me in. (Actually, I didn't even try) So we were initially going to the Gardens by the Bay but then it started raining so we didn't go. MBS is huge. There's like lots of designer brands around. And a skating rink. I thought it was ice until I saw the notice saying "This skating rink is not made of ice." Damn. Guess they made it out of soap. And there was this canal with boats on it and you could pay some money to get on the boat, but it seemed boring. I mean, go to Venice for the real thing. Even if it is sinking slowly.

Had pizza yesterday! Was so awesome! Glad I didn't eat dinner. 2 slices of pizza and quite a lot of fizzy drinks are enough. Then we had to learn how to set up and take down the scopes. Was rather easy. And here are some pictures.

And the fire alarm sounded while it was raining. LOL. I mean, assembling in the field while it's raining and the school's on fire? Somebody must have set fire to the rain.

The day before Friday. Still finishing up my biology assignment. And socratic seminar reflection. I don't quite understand why we have to do this kind of thing. It felt rather forced. Then and again it was always forced.
I suppose I did quite well for my maths test. The class average was 19.4, which is rather small. At least I got higher than that. And the chinese test was rather easy, if I do say so myself.
And my original earphones broke. Buying a new one on Saturday. Hopefully this one lasts longer, because the ones that I am using right now are very big and could possibly make people stare.

Sorry for not posting on National Day, but I had to go to the airport for some shopping. Bought chocolates and drank a lot of coffee. Other than that, not much.

Had our first drama discussion at Chong Wen's house. Only that it wasn't so much a drama discussion as it was a LAN gaming shop. You should have seen the computers. There wasn't much space for anyone to walk around, and I stepped on my computer. It still works (what do you think I'm typing this on?)

So, it's the day before national day. Hooray. Tomorrow's a holiday. Whee. I don't know what to do. Maybe finish up my homework. Yes, I should do that. Or go to a shopping mall. Oh god I haven't handed up my history assignment which was due 3 days ago.
So good luck to Mary Kom, and may you win a medal that's better than bronze for women's boxing. Of course, it will be India's first medal in women's boxing, but then and again, women's boxing was only put in the Olympics this year.

And anyway, if you look at the table tennis matches most of the athletes are asian. I know some people are complaining that it's not really Singapore's athletes that are winning but China's, but if the athletes really feel at home here I see no reason why they shouldn't win a medal for our country. It's a bit like the foreigner problem (foreigners stealing jobs away from local people). And lots of people have been posting what they deem "horrible synchronized swimming" photos. Seriously. If you think that's horrible, I think that a lot of effort must have gone into the training and the design on their bodies. They're here to impress the judges, not to let random people on 9gag comment on how horrible they look. Personally, I think they look all right.
Well, fine, some of the pictures are really hilarious, but I'm quite sure the judges didn't see those.

CURIOSITY HAS LANDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME! AND USAIN BOLT WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVEN MORE AWESOME!

So the one tonne rover that is the same size as a Mini Cooper has landed, and Usain Bolt won. I knew the could do it. I mean, being lowered from the sky by a rocket powered crane isn't common, but it works. And even though the pictures are in black and white they're quite good. And it's nuclear powered. Isn't that awesome?

And Usain Bolt won. HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY JAMAICA! Best birthday present ever I tell you. Wish I could have one like that, but, I can't run. Not even for a genuine version of Minecraft. Or a real life cute dinosaur. But anyway, congratulations to Usain Bolt and his teammate Yohan Blake for making everyone else able to only get bronze. :p
And we finally have football tomorrow, instead of gymnastics. YAY!

Chemistry went fine. We went and electroplated a spoon with copper. And then went and un-electroplated it by reversing the electrodes.
Oh, and I found someone in our class's blog. http://strawberriesmarshmallow.blogspot.sg/ Go and uh, I don't know, read it? Not that there's much to read, because it's mostly retarded.
Biology was nice. We went and dissected a mouse. It was interesting. The insides were rather nicely kept. And Favian was quite good at it. Our group finished first. And the mouse is actually quite cute, ina dead and frozen and then thawed out sort of way. The teacher said somethign about its nose being red because of hemorrhaging. And then we had to pin it to the wax board to stop it from moving around, or else we would cut the wrong thing.
We couldn't find the testes of the mouse, until the teacher pulled them out. Ew. It was slightly uncomfortable.
So before astronomy it rained like it had never rained before, so we had theory session and went through last year Astrochallenge questions, which were rather easy. Even the year 1s could get some of them right.

And I still need to research for the bio assignment. Damn.

New month, a week to go until National Day and we have a slightly longer weekend as a result of that. Its Friday tomorrow, and we have to finish our drama script by then. Good thing I'm done with it.
I really do wish Nicholas would leave this school. He's so annoying sometime I imagine myself punching him. Then getting over it because it never happens. But at least I don't go crazy.
Chinese teacher assigned us groups for the chinese project. Apparently we have to voice over the chracters in a short clip of a movie. Should be easy once one of us gets the chinese version. (I'm surprised te teacher didn't think of that)

L4D2 is a nice game, but the submachine guns shoot too fast, the shotguns reload too slow, andrenaline doesn't help, and the only good guns are the combat rifle and the AK 47. And easy has too little zombies and everything above that has too many. And Dino Run is the nicest game ever. Running away from the end of the world, like a Sir. Isn't he cute?! I mean he's like this cute tiny dinosaur that's running faster than Usain Bolt just to save himself.

And on a side note, BABY LEMON SHARKS ARE SO FREAKING CUTE!!! HAVE YOU SEEN THEM?! THEY'RE LIKE, "HI I'M A LEMON SHARK AND I LOOK LIKE A LEMON AND LEMONS ARE CUTE SO THEREFORE I MUST BE OVER 9000 TIMES CUTER YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" :D

Doing English drama proposal. I'm thinking of making it Minecraft themed. We should. Points for originality. And it's much easier. The english teacher showed us some of the previous year's plays. Chong Wen's already working on the background slides. And we're going to make the cake, Minecraft style. Aw yeah.
Nicholas really should be punished fro what he did. It's been going on for too long. I'm not sure if Benjamin really shot Darryl. All I know is that Darryl fell down (I don't know how), and there was a lot of shouting.

Past midnight. And the opening ceremony for the Olympics starts in 4 hours. Gah. I'll probably sleep through it. That's what you get for living on a planet that rotates around its axis once every 24 hours. Then and again, most of my friends are probably sleeping. Yeah right. I just looked at my Facebook.

Astronomy was slightly boring. Mr. Yuen's going to Brazil tomorrow. Wish the entire IOAA team all the best. Win something. That would be awesome. Mrs. Fernandez let us off early today. She's great.

I do the silliest things sometimes. Such as drinking coffee at night even though there is no valid reason for me to stay awake. Not even the opening ceremony. But hey, its coffee. It calls out to me, and says, drink me. So I do. And you know what? Its awesome.
I have no idea what I did there.
So a good night, and a happy Olympics to all of you who actually bother to watch it.

I have no idea why, but suddenly I’ve been taking screenshots of me poking my puffles. They’re so damn cute! I blame it on the Ultimate Music Jam. That new song has gotten stuck in my head. And furthermore, I want to get Cadence’s autograph. She’s so awesome.

Not to mention, after Matthew left the table, you've been replacing him in asking for my water. :p

And I have to write a science fiction story about a giant mutated coral reef taking over the space station and crashing it. Hey, it's science fiction, after all. And I have to finish the socratic seminar reflection. Which is long. And I forgot about my math tutorial (I really wish I could skip those, but no point trying) and I still have a physics practical to complete. And Keene did his graded assignment in radians. As Matthew once said, LOL Keene you suck.

The english teacher thinks I am doing most of the groupwork. That is slightly ture, because my friends haven't replied. I'm not sure what I'll do. Then and again, most of the projects I work on have been done mostly by me. I think that's because I think that the other members in my group are incapable of doing their work. Mostly they are.

IH was funny. We were supposed to make an NGO that tackles a problem in Singapore, so we made a Society for the Elimination of Xenophobia. And the initials are... SEX. LOL that was funny. But our proposal was actually quite good. And the other group, who wanted to increase Singapore's population, decided to ban Durex condoms. And then everybody was LOLing.

I haven't posted for a while. Had homework. So the math teacher didn't come today, and even though she had told us to stay in class until 10.30 am most of the class had already left at 9.45. Oh well, theres not much she can do about that, and I doubt anyone's going to tell her.

I need to submit my chemistry file for... you guessed it, accreditation. I'm starting to wonder if everyone wants to accredit my files. And now June is poking me on Facebook. I feel obliged to reply. We're probably having PE tomorrow. And I managed to finish my medical history assignment, even if it is slightly late.
I don't want to be a bad example for the year 1s :p
So now the network is acting kind of funny. And we don't have much homework for today, although the english teacher gave us a lot of paper to file. I think I have them all in the wrong order. And we need to decide on roles for the play. Apparently the IT director doesn't have to play a role.

And we had some Harmonyworks workshop. About Racial Harmony. It was ok, although it was 3 hours long.

So I was thinking during Da Vinci lesson, and I just thought of something. What if the Loch Ness monster was a time traveling marine reptile? That would be so cool. I mean, it'd be wearing this awesome looking backpack with flashing lights and tubes and then whenever it went back to the past (or future) it'd go "poof!"

I actually do know what I'm talking about. And penguins have the best tuxedos. They never take them off, and they smoke cigars and walk around with a hat and say all sorts of fish related stuff. And then the British copied them. And then the polar bears dissolved.

Hmmm... Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about after all. And right now the network is screwing up, so I'm rather annoyed.

So we had English today and I think I did quite well. And I'm doing research for my chinese composition but then I thought of time traveling and penguins and then I started typing this. And we had physics project presentation today. Amazingly, Matthew's instrument worked, even though it required Keene to play it. I think we did quite well. And then I submitted my physics file, and now I'm thinking that tomorrow is Friday. Gosh, this is turning out to be quite a post.

And then the Da Vinci teacher was like, "You should read more science fiction. Then participate in a competition. And win." and I was like, "But I only write when I feel like it, and I'm not good at science fiction!" I don't think he heard that last bit though. Da Vinci today was interesting. Aside from the time traveling marine reptile and tuxedoed penguins we were asked to draw our vision of the future so I drew an underwater one with whales. SO CUTE! And then I drew some icebergs and one random bubble with buildings in it.

And then for the Jeopardy competition I shall have Kaoru go "OM NOM NOM" and we shall win because by the time he has finished that he will have eaten up all the other contestants. I don't know much about trivia actually. But I do know what a Liopleurodon is. And some very big prehistoric fish. They probably aren't going to test us on that though. And apparently my friends haven't quite done their english level A yet.

If you don;t want their money can I have it for myself? Please? I shall buy a lot of cars and be a millionaire! Or is it be a millionaire and buy a lot of cars? I don't know. But the amount of money I have left over will probably be different.

It's a slightly worrying thought but, I seem to be the only person who posts regularly. Today we had no PE, so I did some homework. The Chinese teacher didn't come either (YAY!) so the relief teacher gave us some homework, although most of the time I was watching the guy sitting beside me play Angry Birds.

And I'm required to hand up my physics file tomorrow. Accreditation. Apparently they're trying to tell if what the teachers are teaching us is good. Our current physics topic is rather interesting, but I wish we got to play around with lasers. I watched this video of a person making a 1 watt blue one.

I was doing research for my Chinese composition but then I started drawing penguins. I'm going to change my profile picture as soon as I get my camera.

We have no PE tomorrow. YAY! Had a lot of homework, but I managed to finish it. We had to make a new character for English and then give it properties. I rather like the one I made. I just hope I don't have to present because I'm not sure if people will get some of the parts.

The Inaugural NUSH Spelling Bee was held today. I could have gone but then Darryl beat me in the preliminary rounds. And then proceeded to fail to spell "coup". I'm not sure if there's anything left of my face now after all the facepalming. Most people were just careless. It was rather unfair too.

Well, it's Sunday, and everybody who has my number had been messaging me and asking me how to do their english. I suppose some of the stories are rather difficult to understand, but maybe they could just google them.
Still doing my physics project presentation. I have no idea how our instrument produces sound.  Not even after googling it. I could always make it up. :p

Astronomy was rather interesting. We didn't have a practical session, so we had some extremely difficult questions. Which I couldn't answer.
Some Australian people were in the student lounge when I was waiting for astro to start. They liked my pencil case. Probably because of the British flag on it. Most of the time I actually watched some year 1s play Asphalt 7.
And before I forget, 100th post. Thanks for all the page views, including those from Burma (hi Miss Suu Kyi!) and Russia. And China and India and the Philippines and all the other countries. Yay! 3 more weeks until the Olympics! Can't wait even though I don't have tickets. Thanks be for free broadcasting.

Chemistry on Friday was wacky. Because the people who did this might get into trouble if I mention their names, I won't. Let's just say that something other than fumes got sucked up the fume hood. Such as gloves and paper. And ZX poured DI water down my back. Not to mention CW stirred so hard he broke a hole in the test tube.

Medical history was ok. I finally know who Beat Up Pedobears is. Amazingly, I almost confused him with a teddy bear when I first saw him. He's so... (how should I say this) round. Ms Chua made us draw mindmaps. Just like last year actually.
Only that the year 1s know as much as I do. There was this other person sitting beside Beat Up Pedobears (I forgot his real name) who knew quite a lot about medicine. I'm starting to like him.
